Acceptable Use Policy
Your RunMac Mac is for software development, testing, CI and development only. You must not use it to:
- Breach Apple's terms, including creating or farming Apple Accounts, automating or abusing iMessage, FaceTime, iCloud or other Apple services, or any use outside Apple's macOS licence.
- Time-share or resell the Mac. You may not sublet it, sell slices of it, or let others who aren't covered by your agreement use it.
- Run non-development production or consumer workloads, for example public-facing production web or app servers, game servers, media streaming, or using it as a personal desktop.
- Mine cryptocurrency or run comparable sustained workloads whose main purpose is to consume compute for value rather than to develop or test software.
- Send spam or bulk unsolicited messaging, or operate mailing or messaging abuse of any kind.
- Do anything illegal under the laws that apply to you or to us, or store or distribute unlawful content, malware, or material that infringes others' rights.
- Attack or probe others: no hacking, port-scanning, denial of service, botnet or command-and-control activity, or using the Mac to attack third parties.
- Undermine the fleet: no attempting to bypass network isolation, reach other customers' Macs or our systems, remove or tamper with device management (MDM), or defeat the monitoring agent or security controls.
- Breach sanctions or export-control laws, or use the Mac from or on behalf of a sanctioned country, person or entity (Terms, section 5).
- Abuse resources in a way that damages hardware or degrades the service for others.
Consequences
We may warn, suspend, end your lease, wipe the Mac, and/or terminate your account for any breach. Serious or abusive breaches (items 1, 6, 7, 8 and 9) may result in immediate termination without refund and, where required, a report to the relevant authority or to Apple.
Report abuse or security issues to contact@runmac.dev.
